Commissioner releases guidance on minimum grading policy |

At TCTA's request, Education Commissioner Robert Scott has provided guidance to clarify misconceptions regarding implementation of new minimum grading policy legislation. Scott informed district administrators that the law applies to six weeks and other interim or semester grades, not only individual course assignments or tests. |

TCTA's Nanette Sissney appointed to TRS Board of Trustees |

Nanette Sissney, a counselor from Whitesboro ISD and a member of the TCTA Executive Board, has been appointed to the Texas Teacher Retirement System Board of Trustees. She was one of the top three vote-getters in the spring 2009 election for one of the two active employee representative positions on the TRS Board, and her appointment by Gov. Rick Perry was announced Friday. |
